Those who arrive in Mallnitz can experience summer consciously on-site: with the station shuttle, hiking bus, WanderRUFtaxi, rental bikes and other sustainable ways to stay mobile locally.
With the Alpine Pearls Card, Lines 102 (Obervellach–Mallnitz) and 103 (Mölltaler Gletscher–Ankogel) are free to use according to timetable. The hiking bus connects the most important starting points in Mallnitz and the Mölltal region. On weekends and public holidays, the free 3-Valley Hiking Bus runs in Mallnitz according to timetable.
The WanderRUFtaxi Dösental takes you Monday to Friday by prior arrangement into the Dösental (in summer, book by 5 pm the day before at mobilitaet@hpv-moelltal.at). The WanderRUFtaxi flexibly takes you to tour starting points or picks you up at the end of a day trip – ideal for linear routes. Booking at least one day in advance required. At weekends, the 3-Valley Hiking Bus runs according to timetable.
Bikes (1 day per week of stay included) and e-bikes (reduced rental fee) are available at Wolligger Sports + 43 4784 322 – for relaxed excursions into the valley, short routes between the village and starting points, or simply a ride through the landscape.
For excursions that are hard to reach without your own car, an e-car is available on request for a fee. Book and get details directly from your host.
